The “Batterie Todt” was a WW II battery of coastal artillery, located in Audinghen, near Cape Gris Nez. It consisted of four 380 millimetres calibre Krupp guns with a range up to 55 kilometres, capable of reaching the British coast.

"The location of the house is pretty perfect. From there you can start with a lot of hikes and/or trips with a car to all the beautiful sites off Cote Opal. You also have a very good view from the house, as well over the sea as to the fields and Cap Gris-Nez. The house also has everything that contributes to a comfortable stay."

"Nicely updated city home. Kitchen was fully equipped including raclette set and we enjoyed the woodstove. Garage was a nice feature but can be hard to get into depending on how cars are parked in the street. Would recommend the property."

"we have been to Audresselles for the third time now and love this place. In this accommodation we were the first time and we found everything you need in the household. The décor is modern, the bathrooms nice and clean, the bedrooms well divided. Only the chairs tilt a bit and the sofa is permanently installed. Thank you for the friendly and problem-free contact."

"Goed, vriendelijk en snelle antwoorden van de verhuurders. Ruim huisje, netjes en redelijk nieuw.Verbeterpuntjes : wat weinig zetels en koopgerief voor 8p.Te weinig kookpotten die groot genoeg zijn. Wasbak lekte, ( afvoer niet helemaal ok, panne met warm water die wel opgelost werd, 1 bed was stuk, maar we waren met 7, waardoor er reserve was. Ik hoop dat de eineaar voor mensen die in de zomer komen voor tuinmeubilair zorgt en ook voor een BBQ. Verder alles ok. "

"Wij zijn 5 dagen in het appartement geweest. Erg goede locatie voor uitstapjes en wandelingen in de buurt en aan de kust. Uitstekend 2-persoons bed (de 1-persoons bedden hebben we niet gebruikt). Fijne douche en badkamer. Voldoende opbergruimte. Fijne ruime keuken. Handige eigen parkeerplaats. Punt voor verbetering: deur tussen woonkamer en gang. Een broodmes en waterkoker ontbraken. Dat wordt aangevuld volgens de eigenaar. Supersnel Internet via de 5GHz WiFi. "

"Our family really enjoyed our stay and found the gite well equipped and spacious. Remi was very friendly and helpful. The children made good use of the pool and tennis court. The village was very pretty and the views were wonderful!"

"We loved this place. Madame Berthe is kind and welcoming. The property has everything a family of six needs and we loved exploring the local area, especially its beaches. The swing set didn't seem to be in use despite the photos but it didn't affect out stay. We will visit again."

Lovely overnight stop

"Very friendly and helpful owner. He accepted putting some of my food in his fridge overnight, then refunded me 1€ with £1 after realising I had paid the city tax twice. I would not have noticed and it was a tiny sum. So his honesty and integrity were very appreciated."

More Pillows Please

"We had a loveky stay, very comfortable and great food. Huge bed. The only downside were the very small and much used pillows.it made for a rather uncomfortable sleep with just one pillow per person and it was lumpy and thin. Yes,, first worls problems, but when paying luxury prices a little.more pillow goes a long way. "
