Beautiful sunset in the foothills!
Lovely and steep scenery on the Pa'san Ridge Trail in San Joaquin River Gorge in Northern California. This loop is approximately six miles, depending where you park you car, and lots of terrain! Fantastic hike/run! But tell someone where you'll be, it's quite remote if you twist and ankle or some such.
Teepee camping near the parking area down to the suspension bridge that leads to Pa'san Ridge Trail loop. Great views here from the top of the gorge before you plunge all the way into it.
Keep your eyes peeled when you're driving through Auberry and you'll spot fun, quirky things like this carved tree on the side of the road.
While driving to one of my work locations the sun was still coming over the Sierra mountains in the background.
