The house was exactly what my family and I were looking for and true to what was shown in the pictures.
There were a few issues, but the owner responded immediately, was very friendly and accommodating.
The location of the house was perfect, but please be aware the driveway is on a very busy street.
The house is spacious and clean. There is minimal furniture, but the living room couches are comfortable. Minimal cookware, if you plan on dining in. Backyard is awesome! The street it’s on is basically a highway, so very treacherous leaving the driveway.
Overall, this is a clean and spacious home. Drawbacks: The property fronts a busy 5-lane city route. Also the bedrooms have no dressers or tables--which means my 85 year old parents were living out of their suitcases on the floor. This would be fine for folks who can get up and down easily but not for them.
The home was in a great area and was great for my friends and I. Very clean and we were able to clean a little before the cleaning crew arrived. thank you!
The house was spacious and clean. The parking was good given that the house is located on a busy street. Communication was okay, but not great. We arrived with a full trash can and the trash was never picked up. So we did not know what to do with our own trash. Need to be more detailed of where trash pick up should be located.
The house itself was near perfect. Very well laid out, the queen + twin bed in one room especially worked out great for our party.
Check in was easy. The couches in the living room were great, we signed in our streaming services and had a good time with family TV time. The house was clean, linen was fresh. The backyard was amazing!
The big problem was communication. The host/owner on the welcome manual in the house is a different name than what you see on the VRBO communications.
There were problems we came across and communicated to the hosts through VRBO but never got anything resolved. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom whose door wouldn't close because it was missing the metal plate in the door frame. We spent our entire time using a paper wedge to close the door. The kerosene lamps in the fire pit area were all nonfunctional. We communicated those things, didn't get a resolution or follow up on either.
I live in Decatur myself, needed a bigger place for visiting family so I was just able to work around a bunch of little things (washer and dryer were both filled with washed and dried linen so we just used my laundry at home; kitchen had limited silverware so I just brought over my own, that kinda stuff)
