Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Avoid...
We booked a 4-bedroom apartment with 1.5 bathrooms. Now the good and the bad part.
Good
(i) Nick communicates promptly
(ii) The airport pick was reasonably charged and on time
(iii) Good convenient location. 200m from the Metro station. Nice bars and cafes nearby. The historical area is about a mile.
(iv) The interiors as shown in the website. The rooms spacious and the furniture is nice.
(v) At night, you get a 360 deg view of Athens from the balcony. The Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill was a pretty sight.
(vi) We had an evening flight, Nick agreed to look after our luggage after we check out.
Bad
(i) The building is very dated and ill cared for. The 4th floor apartment is accessible by a rickety 2 persons only elevator
(ii) In spite of good communication and a timely airport pick up, our families waited on the street for 30 mins for someone to come with the keys.
(iii) The apartment is nice but uncared for.
(iii) In spite of reminding that we need a clean place, the rooms were not cleaned properly. The dirty linen on the bed were changed only when shown. The curtains kept falling off. The blankets smelt bad, so we did not use them. The kitchen is well equipped but not clean.
(iv) Bedrooms did not have latches
(v) The bathroom is dirty and unkempt. Dreary colors. Dirty tiles. The water does not drain out, so we had cesspools formed all over the floor with muck floating on it.
Overall, a bad experience
