Secluded cozy home on 4 acres with a live Brook just outside the screened in porch. Custom home, professionally decorated and extremely inviting. Home has unique setting back off the road to enjoy those quiet evenings with the sound of the waterfall from the Brook giving you a relaxed feeling of being in an exotic setting while you enjoy a candle lit dinner, or conversation while sipping a favorite beverage on the screened in porch. 3-4 bedrooms and a bunk room with a seperate she shed / man cave with a loft.

My Home away from home
I had the honor and pleasure of staying here for the last four months for work. It was such an amazing place to come "home" to after a long, hard day. You can hear the brook 24 hours a day, especially from the screened porch off the kitchen. Watch the dear eating from the bay window in the front. It is pure magic. Doug was an amazing host who addressed any any all my needs. He was reachable and kind and attentive. The area was peaceful and still close to town, best of both worlds. I could go on for days. Don't stay here, I'm afraid the house will be booked for the next time I'm in town. 10/10. Thanks Doug!

Graduation celebration
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home. We were in town for my daughter's graduation from the University of Georgia, and it was so nice to have a home to hang out in rather than being in hotel rooms. We were comfortable and able to spread out. Also, it is far enough out in the country to be quiet and away from the busyness of Athens, but you can be downtown in 15 minutes. Douglas was easy to get a hold of and quick to answer any questions. He is an excellent host, and I would highly recommend his home to other friends and family.

We immediately felt comfortable at this property. When we arrived there was a herd of deer in the side yard and we loved watching them in the mornings and evenings. This home had plenty of sitting areas and would nicely accommodate families with different ages. It had everything we needed for our family to spend Thanksgiving together. The heated toilet seats were always a nice addition!

Parent’s Weekend
What a great place to stay with friends while visiting UGA for our daughter’s sorority Parent’s Weekend! The house was perfect to share with friends, the screened in porch was a great place to catch up on some work and the kitchen was great for preparing dishes for the weekend. Our daughter’s favorite spot was the window seat in the front of the house where she napped in the sunshine. We will definitely consider David’s place for a future visit.

Clean, comfortable and spacious home with a great host
We stayed at this home when visiting our son at UGA. The home is very comfortable with lots of space, and is close to grocery stores and a handful of fast food and sit down restaurants. The 15-20 minute drive to UGA was easy enough, although a little far to go back and forth multiple times a day. Douglas was very responsive to questions and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that we had a great stay. We would stay here again on a future trip.

UGA Home Opener
We had extended family join us for the 2023 Home Opener. The house was exactly what we needed for our large group - including teens and adults. The house has tons of space along with all the amenities you need. There were numerous sleeping options with plenty of blankets and pillows. Douglas was very quick to reply to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again.

PERFECTION!
This place was perfect. My short stay included myself and my 3 daughters. There was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and also several comfortable places for us to congregate. Every where we looked we discovered something visually interesting between both the architecture and the artwork. We loved that this space felt more like coming home versus being just a crash pad. I'm looking foreword to booking again when family comes to visit.

Perfect Spot for Family Reunion!
My brothers and I stayed here for two weeks with our families, and it was perfect! Cozy, warm and inviting, with plenty of space indoors and out. The interior decor was beautiful- loved all the inspo pics that doubled as wall art. We had 3 families: 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 9-17 years old - all with varying sleep schedules and living preferences. Parents slept on the top floor & the rooms on the bottom floor were perfect for the cousins to have their own space. The twin room off the primary was a nice bonus. There were more than enough blankets & linens for everyone. The living room/den off the entrance was my fave- lots of light, a cozy bay window seat, a couple guitars and a cabinet full of board games. The screened-in porch was the parents' hangout at night, while the kids had 3 TVs to enjoy a movie, video games, etc. As others noted, the internet was awesome --handled remote work (ie, video calls) plus streaming/gaming apps just fine. The kitchen came with everything we needed: multiple options for making coffee, plenty of dishes, utensils and food storage. It was hot, so the ice maker & AC were much appreciated. The kids were bummed that the swing was knocked down during a recent storm and no basketball hoop, but the giant yard was perfect for relay races, sports and lawn bowling. We were in awe of the multiple deer sightings! The owner, Doug, was great -- he responded quickly to my gazillion questions and checked in on us. Truly an unforgettable family reunion!

UGA Graduation Trip
This house is located very close to downtown Athens and UGA. Owner is very responsive and easy check in and out. Lots of outdoor space and a screened in porch to hang out in. My teen told me the WiFi connection was insane- apparently no lagging in games. I will forewarn if you have teens there aren’t tvs in three of the bedrooms but they have a large tv in the basement area with 3 futons. Great place to stay overall!

Bachelorette weekend
I rented this home for my daughter's bachelorette weekend. The property is gorgeous and well kept. There is plenty of room in the home. The property outside is gorgeous with deer and wildlife. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Every morning, I enjoyed the window seat with a coffee looking out over the wooded yard. The toilet seats must be mentioned! The bathrooms have bidets with nice, toasty warm toilet seats. I'm so glad I chose this home - it was an amazing place to stay!

Great stay and good times on the porch
We loved this property. It looked exactly like the photos--very clean, spacious, relaxing seating areas, plenty of beds. You can hear the babbling brook from the bedrooms and it is so restorative. The decor is wonderful, too. Interesting art, streamlined design, nice vibe. Also, there is a screened-in porch where you can enjoy the trees and the creek. Also, Doug was extremely responsive and always available to answer questions and do whatever he could to make our stay terrific--which it was.

A great place to come together
our family needed a place to all come together to celebrate the life of my mother that passed away. We grew up in the area in the 80's and thoughts it would be nice to all stay together, uncle's, aunt's, nieces, and nephews. This house was woulderful! Great front and back yard for the kids and dogs. The sounds of the creek we're amazing. Us adults would sit on the screen deck and play cards til late while the kiddos slept. It was such a great gathering place. Minutes from a couple parks. Side walks for miles, we were able to get great morning runs and walks in. I was so sad to leave. We made some great memories. Douglas, the host, was readily available for anything we needed or asked but didn't overly impose into our stay. It was just a wonderful week and I can't wait to come back!

This house was just what we needed for our family of 8 adults and 7 children. The main floor accommodated us nicely during the day, and there were enough beds for everyone to sleep on at night. We did have a couple of issues, but the owner promptly addressed them to our satisfaction, either during our stay or immediately after. The owner was very thoughtful, accommodating, and responsive, and we would stay here again in the future.

Perfect house for family gathering!
The house and surrounding property was fantastic! We had a family gathering of eight. Five adults stayed in the house and our daughter, husband, and son live 5 minutes away. No one wanted to do any sight seeing. We all just stay on the property enjoying each other in this spacious, beautiful home overlooking woods, stream, and plenty of deer. We had plenty of room to spread out and a big kitchen and dining area for meals. The many windows provide great views from every room. The screened in porch was fun and we had a pit fire one night. Hope we have a chance to return. The owner was great....available if we needed anything, but not overbearing at all. Love this spot!

Perfect home for our special occasion!
We were in town for a week in preparation for our daughter's wedding in Madison. We had extended family members staying with us, prepping during the week. The location is extremely peaceful!! Just what we needed! Douglas was an AMAZING communicator from Day 1! We were so thankful! Location is great! Not super close to campus but close enough (7 min) to local grocery stores. Just perfect for our purposes!

The house inside and out was amazing, it had everything we needed to keep us confortable. The scenery was gorgeous there were even deers in the yard one morning. The owners were also nice checking on us seeing how we ere doing. Overall strongly recommend staying here it was great.

If I could give this property 10 stars, I would! The property is a gem, and the owner is extremely responsive and wonderful. The property is located just a few minutes from town, making it a perfect spot if you plan to catch a UGA game. The home itself is beautifully designed, with beautiful details throughout. Sitting outside on the screened in porch, hearing the waterfall while watching the deer graze and play just outside was almost magical. Lots of space for the family to relax and enjoy our vacation, with lots of room to cook and entertain. We will definitely be back, and recommend this wonderful spot to anyone looking to stay in Athens.

Greatest experience ever
I wish I could give this home and its owner 10 stars. My husband, our two poodles, and I spent a month at this home in Athens as we waited for the birth of our amazing son Araz (born via a surrogate who lived nearby). We cooked delicious dinners that we ate at dusk on the back porch, played epic games of fetch with our dogs in the backyard, watched UGA football games on the TV, and took long neighborhood walks to appreciate the gorgeous fall colors. Throughout the entire process, Doug, the property's host, was incredibly responsive and accommodating. He responded quickly to every question we had, and showed tremendous patience in helping us navigate the home. When our son was born, we welcomed him into this cozy and joyous home. This house on Old Lexington Road was our son's first home, and it will always hold such a special place in our hearts. While most of you will not be staying there under as exceptional circumstances (!), you will still enjoy all that made this home so remarkable- the gorgeous morning light, the unique and tasteful decor, the stunning back porch, the deer who share the property, and the incredible responsiveness and kindness of Doug, the property owner. I have had a lot of positive short term rental experiences, but none will ever be as meaningful or as perfect as our time at this wonderful home in Athens. Enjoy!
