Great location for walking to restaurants and shopping. Staff was helpful and friendly. The general neighborhood was a little gritty but there was a strong police presence as nightfall came.
Walkable. However, near some not so clean areas of the city around north of monastiraki. Very close to Omonoia square which makes it very accessible to metro and other means of transportation.
This hotel is a nice clean hotel with easy access to the subway and metro buss. It is on the outscirts of the main tourist center but an easy walk or subway ride the the main area. Eventhough it was on the outskirts we never felt unsafe. The staf were very helpful and the room was very clean. The only downside I would say are the very small elevators but I would definitely stay again.
The area of the hotel was very unsafe we arrived via taxi and told we were staying in a bad area, we saw lots of drug users outside the hotel. Room was okay and clean. Breakfast was lacking not much choice for vegetarian, basic. When leaving to go to our next hotel we saw drug users outside in the day shooting up drug in needles in the middle of the street outside the hotel.
Area around hotel can be a little rough at night. Traveling in groups is good idea. Convient to subway and large variety of restaurants. A number of markets are also available. Definately a buxget option in a large city. Would stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Paid for a room with a king bed, got a room with two single beds pushed together. Was traveling with my fiance. The bed was a problem. There was no hot water in the shower one morning and the A/C didn't always work properly, it seemed. But the property was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast was good. Three stars out of five.
Excellent service. Nice little touches to make the guest feel take care of, like a complimentary bottle of wine and an offer of a boxed breakfast when I had to check out very early. They kindly arranged a taxi airport transfer and were very pleasant. Also appreciated high-tech convenience such as buttons inside the suite to indicate DND.
The room was spacious, very clean, with toothbrushes, several bars of soap and bottles of shampoo available along with slippers. Ironically, they do not stock any boxes of tissues, so you have to use toilet paper if you need a tissue. Nancy at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful with our questions. Large waiting area in case you arrive early and your room is not ready. Would definitely book again if we go back to Greece. I should also mention very close to bus and train transportation, shopping, and eateries. There are some homeless people in the area, but from what we saw of Greece, there is a very large homeless population everywhere we went. So sad.
I stayed in Boss Hotel last May 7-10. My room was spacious and clean. However, it seems there's no airconditioning as the window is open. Breakfast is amazing with lots of option to choose from. The location is accessible and only 5 minutes walk from bus stop and close to the must visit places.
We stayed six nights at Boss Boutique Athens in Athens, Attica, and had a very pleasant experience overall.
The hotel appears to be newly refurbished, with a spacious and welcoming reception area. Our room was clean and well maintained throughout our stay. A nice touch was the complimentary daily mineral water, which is not something you always find, as well as a small bottle of ouzo on arrival.
The free WiFi was reliable and fast. Although some people mention that the surrounding area can be noisy at night, we stayed on the eighth floor at the back of the hotel and found it completely quiet.
The location is convenient, with around an eight minute walk to Omonia metro station, making it easy to reach the main historical sites in Athens.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of both hot and cold options, far more variety than a typical English breakfast. The coffee was particularly good. We also discovered on our second day that the hotel offers a buffet dinner for just 12 euros, with plenty of meat dishes and salads. We really enjoyed dining there.
The staff were polite, helpful, and all spoke good English, which made everything straightforward.
Considering the competitive price, this hotel offers very good value and we would happily recommend it.
One final tip for travellers: getting to and from the airport by metro is possible. A taxi with a fixed fare of 45 euros is often the easier option.
