Nice place to stay in Athens

Host informed me in advance that I will be alone in the hotel and self check myself in. So I have to find how things work, like turn on the water to the toilet tank, open and close water heater,a/c unit,plug on fridge. Its ok that Gabriela trusted me to occupy their place alone. Place was clean, kitchen has utensils to use.

The property worth for the value we paid. Close to the transportation, though very limited street parking available due to crowded area. The room was clean but the bed was not a high quality and made noise when tossing and turning on that. The bathroom was clean but poor quality. The shower tube was damaged and splashing water everywhere. The kitchen was not as clean as we expected. We had to wash all dishes before use.

Location was near a metro station , definitely a plus. However the place was very noisy with the front door slamming even late at night. Hardly slept during our long stay because of the heat. There was A/C but it blew straight on the bed so couldn’t be kept on when sleeping. The window could not be left open because of the noise.

This property is in a quite area and is a short walk to the subway; an escape from the busy downtown core. Had troubles with the WiFi staff was able to proved a workaround. The only issue is that Expedia needed to communicate to property owner of my reservation, which they were not aware of. Other than that, the hosts are kind and friendly and the stay was excellent.

I noticed how the host responds to any criticism, so I will not be specific. I will just say that it was one of worst places we ever stayed in Europe. Now, I know this is budget accommodation, no need to repeat it, I know that you provide air conditioning (most places do). I would just encourage you to travel and experience the standard of other budget locations. We run a small guest house in Italy and if we kept our place in those conditions we would be shut down and fined heavily.

As a seasoned budget traveller, I'm expecting to make sacrifices, but this was a step too far. As a mother traveling with my 16 yr old daughter at night, the neighbourhood didn't feel safe. The hotel had no signage. A man said that he was a friend of the owner & escorted me into a dark apartment-looking building. Throughout the night, we were constantly woken up by people coming in and out, yelling in the streets and an extremely squeaky bed. In order to have hot water, you had to switch it on at the panel and wait for fifteen minutes. To flush the toilet, you had to turn a knob and wait for the tank to fill up. Throughout my four-night stay, the stated 24/7 reception desk never had anyone there. The only way to talk to anyone was to ask fellow guests that were also 'friends of the owner' for assistance. On the morning that we wanted to checkout, we wanted to use their luggage storage and, as always, no one was there. As the only sign in the building said not to leave your stuff in common areas, we waited until we saw one of the owner's friends what to do. They contacted the owner and said that he would be there in 5 minutes. We waited for over an hour. When we arrived at the agreed upon time to collect our bags for our flight, the building was dark and no one would answer the door. No one came for 45 minutes and we almost missed our flight. I still don't know who owned or worked there. Just weird and soooo frustrating!!!

Metroya 7-8 dakikalık bir uzaklıkta bulunuyor. Binanın dışında biraz yönlendirme eksikliği var, doğrudan adres bilgisindeki numaranın kapısını çalarak işletmeciye ulaşabilirsiniz. İşletmeci olan hanım çok cana yakındı, tüm sorularımızı yanıtladır. Tavsiye ederim.
