"The term ‘from your home to ours’ comes true at Izmir Marriott where the staff are very friendly and welcoming and service at its best. Denis the guest relations manageress was perfect with warm welcome and gracious smile and the servitude of making our stay welcome. Very difficult to please my husband as he loves perfection and he felt at ease and happy which means the place and people made its mark. Would definitely recommend a stay here and walking distance to the iconic clock tower . The waterfront makes a peaceful walk throughout the day. Certainly recommend and we will be back soon."

Location is very good, within an hour of checking in I was walking along the Kordon with a cup of tea watching the sunset over the bay. Come to sunny Izmir come to this hotel, I recommend"

"The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, but the room was tatty and in need of some improvements. The curtains did not cover the window, the toilet seat was broken, the furniture was old and scruffy. It could have been cleaner."

"The view from the rooftop restaurant where a fabulous breakfast buffet is served, and equally great fine dining, is worth the trip for a meal and view even is staying elsewhere. The location is walkable (if hills not an issue - as the whole city rests on 7 relatively steep ones). It’s at edge of historic bizarre and within 1/2 mile of the major famous mosques. Note: late at night some of the surrounding roads are shut down so you can’t rely on GPS. Be sure to confirm taxi driver knows the routes and take hotel card so one can call them if needed for precise driving accessibility at various times."
