"Loved the location of this hotel. Beach is within a couple minutes walk, also there are some great restaurants and coffee nearby. It’s also really close to the tunnel to walk into the city center. The staff were very kind and helpful as well."

"We were travelling with a dog and had the pet suite. It was very spacious with a huge long balcony. Very comfortable beds, good shower, excellent breakfast. Staff were also excellent. Only minor things were no fridge in the room and no coffee/kettle in the room. The price for a single night at approx GBP 340 was also very expensive. It was by far the most expensive hotel in a 2-week trip staying at numerous different places across 10 countries."

"This was a lovely stay in every area, except for the fact that several of the spa facilities were not functioning, so that was a little disappointing, as we had booked this hotel because of the spa. Daily checks by maintenance staff would eliminate such problems. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is well located with plenty of on-site parking spaces. The restaurant served good food at very reasonable prices. Our room was clean and spacious. We would stay again, despite the problem with the spa."

"Nice gardens surrounding the house/palace in an isolated natural place inviting to relaxing and enjoy nature. Only 30 minutes to Santoña and other attractions. Restaurant team very friendly but people at reception were not friendly not knowledgeable, so making some situations uneasy. Only breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel restaurants. Food was quite good. A couple of local small restaurants in the town. We likes Casa de Montaña."

"The apartment had fantastic views of the estuary and city, and was spacious. Had basic cooking equipment, but not really sufficient for regular self- catering. Decor a bit tired, and could do with Netflix / Prime on TV for travellers for whom Spanish isn't their first language. "
