"Amazing hotel. Views and beach walk was amazing. Easy drive to vik and beyond. Restaurant was delicious but eclectic. If you want somewhere more casual to eat you have to go into Vik. Sauna was gorgeous and staff was great, highly recommend! "

"This was a great value and a great place to start our Iceland adventure. The friendly staff greeted us with lots of information and a smile. We arrived early (late morning) after a red eye flight and the staff helped us find a place to eat and worked on getting us into our room as soon as possible. Room was basic but clean and in great condition. We had private bath and everything worked well. The area in front of hotel is a little industrial but there is an adorable horse farm behind the property and this is what you see from the room and from the hotel restaurant and terrace. The on site restaurant and bar had great food and service and made our first day very easy. They also have a nice breakfast buffet in the morning for a charge. If you have time to shop, there is a grocery store walking distance and communal kitchen facilities (at least for storage of food). Not sure about cooking. We had a car and did our own thing but it also appeared possible to book tours and activities through the hotel. "

"A beautiful well equipped cottage in a stunning location. It was clean, easy to get into and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed there and it was small but well laid out so we felt like we had a good amount of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have coffee, tea and sugar (many places we stayed at on the trip didn’t so this was great to see). We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation."

"Our room was in a small building that reminded me of a Spanish villa. The room was on the second floor and had a view of the mountains. The bathroom was comfortable (shower was a bit small for my over 6 foot husband). Breakfast was very well stocked (prunes were a bit stale). The nearby Hotel Skógá restaurant was convenient. Access to the waterfall and related hikes was easy. A bonus is that we could walk to the Skogar Museum and the nearby forest planted by former students. My only suggestion is to provide guests with a number to call the restaurant ahead of time for reservations. We never had trouble getting a table but I would have reserved a table closer to a window if I had been given an opportunity to easily reserve one."
