"We needed a stop over on the way to Nelson. The Amberley exceeded our expectations. Clean comfortable and great amenities. Bed was super comfortable and shower was hot! Fantastic"

"We contacted them a couple of days prior to say that we would be arriving late at night. It was a cold night at 22.00 when we got there. What a wonderful surprise to find a light left on, the heating on and the electric blanket on. It just brought a smile to our faces. Such thoughtfulness. We were really impressed."

"Plenty of parking, fast WiFi."

"Nice little motel .. warm and quiet"

"Great little motor park camp. Excellent location by beach far enough away from Chch but still close. A bit old school with lots of messy permanents - but otherwise a good spot. Caravan and huts are cute; clean and good value. I’d recommend it."

"Room nice nice view A lot of stairs no good for older people Only kitchen things are coffee making in small cupboard no microwave"

Our room was well-appointed with all the modern amenities. Despite being located at the airport, it was very quiet in our room."

"It was ok"

"Exceptional stay at this off-the-grid cabin in the heart of Waipara wine country. Sue was an incredibly gracious host and the setting (especially the views and bath) were amazing. Highly recommend!"

"A clean, tidy, spacious and comfortable stay with welcoming staff. A short notice request due to a cancelled flight which was no problem for them. The room was a ground floor accessible room with kitchenette. It was spotlessly clean. Large area for suitcases. Large comfortable bed. Bathroom was an accessible room. Shower had great pressure. Very clean. We caught the Airport shuttle they provide which is a modern large van. Dropped us right to the door. Bonus is the small cafe just around the...

"Our stay was quite unsettling. At around midnight, someone unlocked and opened our motel room door while we were asleep. This gave us an enormous fright and left us feeling very uncomfortable and unsafe. We have no idea why someone was entering our room at that time, and the incident completely disrupted our sleep. It was a very strange and concerning experience, and certainly not something you expect when staying at a motel. Overall, it left us with a rather unpleasant impression of our stay."
