Palm Cottages

"A wonderful place to stay when in Ashland. Both creative, unique and whimsical, the property has been turned into a real find. At the same time as you enjoy the artistic side, the details work too. I mean, the beds are super comfortable, the ac works perfectly, towels are new and in great supply, the kitchen if your room has one, has everything one needs if you want to make breakfast - you name it, it’s there and has been taken care of. We loved it and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Oh, and just a one mile easy walk to town center. Highly recommended."

"Conveniently located, the Stratford Inn had ample parking and walking distance to old town with several shops and restaurants. The continental breakfast was decent, with yogurt, hot cereal and accoutrements. Coffee was good."

"This is a great place to stay in Ashland especially if you’re going to the theater. My only complaint in my 20+ years of staying there is I’ve never once been welcomed by the staff, never asked if this is my first time or I’ve stayed there before - or In fact anything other than to ask for ID and credit card and give basic directions to room, elevator. Whoever is in charge of training staff needs to take a basic course in hospitality."

"The property is very beautiful and picture you ask however the wine bar which was advertised was never opened, and it was not convenient to book with the spa services. The property is a little bit out of the way to go and attend the Shakespeare festival requiring someone to either drive or ride a bike, not necessarily easy walking distance."
