"Prince Rupert House is a very beautiful house on a country estate. It has an outdoor pool which our grandchildren loved. Also croquet, tennis court and lots of walks. We had no issues with the house … it slept 10 comfortably and would accommodate 12. Great place to go and relax. 25 minutes from York and 30 minutes from Harrogate. All in all a lovely time together as a family. No complains at all. I can heartily recommended this place. They also have smaller properties too."

"A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. "A very handy location with easy on-street parking right in front of the house. Well-equipped kitchen with complimentary, quality coffee and tea. Clean, up-to-date bathroom and towels with quality complimentary shampoo and shower gels. Comfortable master bedroom (as in photo) with good quality mattress, though the other two bedrooms had much lower beds which had less comfortable mattresses. Overall, accommodation was fine for a family of four, though there was no wardrobe hanging space available...

Loved it but instruction need to be clearer We eventually got hot water to the shower that didn’t go cold but even then it wasn’t hot hot. Lights anre on dimmer switches annd it took a call to Stayz for us to learn this so we could turn some lights on ant anll and others up. "We loved this house. It was beautifully set up with excellent amenities. We loved the cinema room and especially enjoyed watching the rugby on the big screen! Location is great with an easy 15 minute walk into town. Highly recommend."

"Was in a great location however it didn’t say that it was an end terrace with a path at the running the length of the house. Also it didn’t mention that there were steep slippery steps to get on to the rear garden which again was just a slab and deck area which wasn’t a garden as such. Living area very small and if at full occupancy wouldn’t be able to fit everyone in. TV & internet not great and had to keep refreshing to get connection. Could do with a bit of TLC. "We had the best stay at this property. All three properties are very well equipped and were perfect for our large group. The location is stunning and great for doing walks in the local area. Sally was very responsive to any queries I had ahead of the trip and whilst we were there. A hot tub had just been installed a few days before we arrived and was the perfect addition to the property. "Stayed here for one night. Directions were not great, the address on the website is not the address of the property you will be staying in. We were told to park in Chatsworth place and look for white patio doors. What we actually should have been told is the property is up the back of a small inlet between property numbers 33 and 37. This would of saved time wondering around trying to find the property. We had to park outside someone else’s house half on path half on road, so was a bit worried...

"Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall...
