Relaxing vacation

Very quiet and relaxing place with a nice view to the Plöner See. We were very impressed with the wellness facilities (swimming, sauna, massage).

Super hotel

We really enjoyed our one night stay. We arrived early in the afternoon and had a swim in the pool and had sauna me very nice. Afterwards we had a swim in the lake. We had a balcony with sea view. Really nice. Big room. Everything was perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant which we enjoyed. We did not have breakfast which we considered a bit expensive.

Amazing place, really quiet and clean. Rooms are huge and well designed. Small inconvenience: breakfast only from 8:00am so complicated when you are there for work. The only thing I didn't appreciate is the first night we had dinner at the restaurant and when we went to pay the bill, an additional tip was already defined and there was no other choice. I thought it was the way the restaurant works but the second night we had a dinner, no tip has been asked at all! Such a pity because the meal was excellent. And tips are up to the clients to decide.

Exceptional service and incredibly dog friendly

We recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Whitman Hotel in Ascheberg, and we cannot praise this establishment enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality not just towards us, but also towards our dog. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly, going above and beyond to make sure our dog was as comfortable as we were. We were delighted to find that our dog was not only allowed in our room but also welcomed at our table in the restaurant. The staff's kindness and enthusiasm for our dog made us feel right at home, and it was clear that this is a place that truly cares about all its guests, both human and dog. Our room was spectacular, offering a fantastic sea view which made for great morning feel. As The modern and practical interior design meant comfort and convenience, making it one of the best hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The overall experience was so delightful that we’ve already made plans to return to the Whitman Hotel in the autumn. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines comfort, outstanding views, and an unmatched level of hospitality, especially if you're traveling with a dog, this is the place to consider. We can’t wait to return.

Over all safisfied

There's very little or none information in English and the TV only has German channels or dubbed movies in to German. If they want guest other than Germans I would suggest to make some changes in this area. Otherwise all fine but could also appreciate a whirlpool in the spa area to lift it even more

Check in was a nightmare. Only in German with complicated instructions. Booked a room with a lake view which was true if you went outside and around the corner. No information that the bedroom was in the basement. It smelled like mold and humidity. Tried to call the ‘reception’ in the sister hotel but automatic voice said the number was not in use. We are not bothered by noise but this was extreme. Both from the neighbors in the hotel and from people outside. When flushing the toilet it made a squeaky loud noise for at least 4 minutes. We wanted to have a glass of wine and we had wine glasses in the room. In one of them there was a hair stuck on the inside. Black mold grew on the wall in the bedroom and was covered by a beach and pillows. We might have been unlucky but we do not recommend this hotel ever.

Für uns ein Fail!

... also - wir waren erschrocken... zwei riesige Klötze am See; unsere 65qm Wohnung war am Waldrand gelegen. Absolut keine Sonne und eher wenig Tageslicht. Das Schlafzimmer war im Keller und die beiden Kinder schliefen auf Couch/Beistellbett im Wohnzimmer (so, dass das für uns unnutzbar war... im Keller kein TV und kein W-Lan. Der Parkplatz war ein staubiger Schotterplatz, welcher auch noch übervoll und komisch zugeparkt war. Das "Beste": Laut Homepage und Aushang Restaurant geöffnet bis 21:00... ein Aufsteller wies auf 20:30 hin; der überforderte Keller meinte dann bei Ankunft um 20:15, dass wir sofort bestellen müssten, damit wir etwas zum Essen bekommen. Sorry - es war ein fürchterliches Erlebnis und gar nicht Dienstleistungsorientiert. Beim Auschecken habe ich die Punkte adressiert - einzige Reaktion... die Bilder bei Hotels.com zeigen es doch so... sorry - leider nein; es ist immer der See gezeigt... das ich auf eine Tannenwand schaue und immer Keller schlafe. No way! Ich nicht noch einmal.

Sengene var meget hårde, hvilket gik ud over nattesøvnen. Restauranten på hotellet var lukket begge aftener vi var der, men der er heldigvis masser af muligheder i området, det kræver dog at man køre i bil.

Es war absolut wundervoll. Das Zimmer war sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten ein Upgrade bekommen mit direkten Blick auf den See - traumhaft! Die Sauna und der Pool waren sehr sauber und wir konnten alles gut nutzen. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder. Danke!!
