Nice hotel but not much around
Lovely small hotel (only 9 rooms) with a beautiful pool area. Breakfast was quite basic, like many hotels in Italy, just a continental breakfast along with a selection of Italian cakes and pastries. Dinner was good 2 of the 3 nights we ate there, with a poor meal one night (perhaps a different chef). Service at the hotel was very good, always helpful and polite. There is a main train line not far from the hotel and you can hear this from the hotel pool and room, not ideal although also not loud enough to be a big concern. The centre of Marina Di Ascea is a 20 minute walk away and is small and VERY quiet out of season (we went mid Sep) with not very many restaurants there. There were no taxis so limited where we could go (not sure if this was just due to the time of year). We would not go back again simply due to not enough restaurants and the area is just a bit too quiet.
