Our stay was very interesting.The room was fine but unfortunately there was no tv in the rooms or internet, one Had to go over to the main lodge and reception. Also the main circular road around the park was closed and Mungo Lodge itself wasn’t doing any tours due to staff training.But we were able to arrange a tour ourselves with the local ranger. But all the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This please is amazing definitely a must do Book directly through mungo lodge thought to make sure you have a booking We turn up to find out our booking was canceled but Erin was quick to fix up the booking for us she was wonderful Great please great food definitely will do again

Really enjoyed staying here. We stayed in one of the tents. Comfy bed, cool enough at night to sleep. Days were hot but we were able to go into the lodge to cool down, charge phones and chill out. We did part of the self fuidedd tour and as some of the road was closed we opted for the sunset lunette guided tour. Definitely worht doing. Camp site was really quiet until tje second morning of our stay when a large family group.let their young kids ride round the csmp.on their bikes at 6am. Staff were v responsive and hopefully will address this for other campers as we left later that day. The drive to Mungo lodge is fun if a little anxiety provoking at times. Part of our challenge was that some of it was being surface scraped so it made it worse. expect a long slow dusty bumpy ride to the lodge and camp site. We made sure we filled up in Balranald before entering the unsealed road area. We also had 20 litres of water. We were in a mid size awd not a landrover type and it was fine and fun! Thank you to the lovely sunderland lass staff member. A great help on everything. Safe travels and sorry we dont remember your name!

Mungo Lodge is a must

Definitely worth visiting Mungo National Park & glad we chose the luxury of staying at the lodge. Continental breakfast included but you can have a cooked breakfast if you want. Great dinner, quick service because we ordered before going on the sunset tour of Lunettes. Huge open fireplace in the dining room

We totally loved our stay at the Mungo lodge. The rooms are set up beautifully and the bed, pillows, linen etc are very comfortable. Above all the girls at the restaurant and at the reception desk are so welcoming and attentive. We definitely will stay at the lodge if we go back. Thank you!

Mungo Lodge great experience

The majority of the staff were young international people working their way around Australia and they are an absolute asset to Mungo Lodge and their respective countries. They were polite, helpful and respectful. They made our stay a very positive experience.

Remoteness, nature and closure of the national park unfortunately impacted our trecking adventure and stay in Mungo. Strong winds, soaring 40C temperatures and loss of power and water at the Lodge followed by the closure of the Park due to forecast heavy rains and pending road closures led to us leaving the lodge earlier than planned and disappointed.

The room was spacious, the staff were friendly, dinner was good and it was very quiet at night. However, the bathroom fan was absolutely covered with dust. There were spider webs in the corners of the bathroom walls. None of the appliances in the room were test-and-tagged. There was no soap holder in the shower.

All access was closed due to weather for a few days before our trip and when I confirmed two days before they never told us so spent 10 hours driving and an overnight going to nowhere… we would have just postponed if known.. never got there.. so disappointed.. just a text to say roads closed? Leider konnten wir nicht wie angegeben um 14 Uhr einchecken. Mussten 1h Stunde warten. Darüber hinaus gibt es nur bis 14 Uhr Mittagessen. Wir sind hungrig um 14:05 angereist und wussten nicht, dass es Zeitfenster für das Essen im angegebenen Restaurant gibt. Es gibt auch keinerlei Möglichkeiten in der Nähe etwas zu Essen zu kaufen (Nächste Möglichkeit 45min entfernt). Uns wurde überhaupt nichts angeboten. Kein Apfel/Riegel/Schokolade...rein garnichts. Es ist zu beachten vor 16 Uhr anzureisen, sonst kann man auch kein Abendessen vor Ort essen. Das muss man bis 16 Uhr vorbestellen. Der Speisesaal ist unfassbar voller Spinnenweben und Spinnen. Sie etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Die Sauberkeit des Zeltes ging im Gegenzug. Die Zelte sind aber nicht wie angegeben im Bohostyle eingerichtet. Das war nur für das Foto.
