"Diamond Ridge is a gem - just as advertised. The hosts have put together a wonderful, clean/neat, well-appointed cabin that feels like home, not like a rental. It was the ideal setting for our family group and we enjoyed how the large living/dining/kitchen space allowed us to comfortably gather together.The common spaces are lovely, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fully outfitted. We enjoyed sunrises on the wrap around deck and the game room kept us entertained in the evening. Communication with the hosts was good and they were very responsive. Prior to check-in they provided lots of local info about activities, restaurants, etc. and they had a thorough reference "House Book" on site."

"Such a great house! It was the perfect meeting place for a cousins reunion. The setting was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. I would highly recommend! We saw a momma bear and her two cubs several times during our visit. Our host provided us with the perfect getaway!"

"I had such a beautiful stay at Mary Ida’s! This beautiful tiny home was clean, comfy, and had absolutely everything I needed for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were amazing and very quick to respond to any questions I had.Waiting for me on the kitchen counter was a little goodie basket with fresh homemade banana nut bread and other yummy treats that I definitely enjoyed! The fridge was stocked with fresh local eggs, butter, half-and-half for my coffee, and a couple bottles of water. Coffee was provided too, and I absolutely loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings with my coffee and scrambled eggs.Even though my main reason for the trip was to attend the Bigfoot Festival right down the road in Marion, my favorite part of my stay ended up being exploring the local spots and making new friends. Old Fort is such a friendly little town, and Mary Ida’s truly felt like a home away from home.I can’t wait to plan my next trip back!"

"This was the perfect spot for a reunion of girl frirnds. Plenty of space to gather together or find a quiet place for a nap. Take advantage of the basement games. The “frurndly competitions” were a huge highlight on a Saturday night. The very steep and narrow driveway was a challenge but it got better each time we used it. Enjoy!"

"If you want a view or a yard to play in, this is not the house for you. However, if you want room for your family or friends to be comfortable and gathering spaces for games or conversation, this house is ideal. We had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and the open floorplan is great for gathering. The bedrooms are large and the beds are all very comfortable. The dining table easily seats a large crowd. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes, and cooking tools and appliances. We also made great use of the two refrigerators, The hosts were very responsive and pleasant. We had an air conditioning issue upstairs and Greybeard quickly provided window units that were very efficient while we waited for the repair person. He was extremely professional and pleasant, as was the company maintenance person who brought the window units. We recommend Greybeard highly and will work with them on a future trip!"
