"Excellent hotel, staff very courteous and food was superb. Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and bathroom was massive. We also had a brilliant view. Bar area was lovely. Can’t say a bad word. Breakfast is defo worth having."

"If you are lucky enough to stay with Carol and all the lovely folks at the Alltavona Guest House, it will live in your memory like a beautiful dream. My room was so gorgeously decorated, I thought I was in an Agatha Christie novel (minus the murder, of course) where a lucky woman stays by the seaside in an Art Deco fantasy (greys, whites, metallics, nature, art, impeccable taste and style) and looks out at Oban Bay and never wishes to leave. The staff were so helpful when I asked for local recommendations (the nearby Dunollie castle is a 5-min. walk). The guest house is an easy 15-min. walk into town, along the water, a picturesque little beach, shops, and restaurants. You can sit outside the guest house on comfy cushions with your feet up and gaze at the water and the distant mountains and ponder your luck at being there. Don't even think about this decision - just go."
