"MY FAMILY AND I JUST MADE A QUICK OVERNIGHT STOP ON OUR TO VIRGINIA BEACH. CHECK IN WAS QUICK AND EASY, AND THE GENTLEMAN AT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY FRIENDLY. HE MADE SURE WE HAD ALL THE LINENS WE NEEDED AND WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AREA. VERY CLEAN AND ROOMY"

"I love the history behind this property. It's very quiet and peaceful, due to its setting on a beautiful 80 plus acres and its distance from the main road. Staff was very friendly and enjoyable to be around. The breakfast in the morning was very good and set the tone for the rest of the day. Only a few negatives, and both small. 1) every time we got toast, it was always hard, dry and cold. 2) In our room, only had one very small waste basket. I think of one thing that could elevate the hospitality experience, since they have a kitchen available, is to have a little cheese and cracker spread with some local wines. This would give the guests an opportunity to mingle and get to know one another. I would not hesitate coming back here, and enjoyed our stay."

"Came in town for a wedding and had an amazing stay. Recommend anybody that wants to get out of town and come to the beautiful countryside and not too far from DC. I will definitely be back. Pool and restaurant was a nice bonus. "

"The property is in an excellent location and has many facilities including ranger led programs that's great for kids. Staff was very friendly and provided detailed information on any requests/questions. We went on early morning hikes and saw deer running around our cabins. Night star gazing was an excellent activity that we enjoyed as a family. Would love to go back to this property again - thoroughly enjoyed our stay "
