"The host/owner was amazing. Only downside and in no way her fault or in her control is Verizon cell service doesn’t work in that area. That being said really want a downside seeing that people didn’t have there faces in there phones all weekend. Also very confident that she also owns and operates a convenient store attached to the property. Being in such a remote area it was useful at times. I highly recommend starting here. Like I said just/owner was an amazing person"

"The house was clean with lots of space for people. It is in a great location in the upper peninsula due to it being close to Marquette and within driving distance of Pictured Rocks."

"The house is located on the river and is fantastic. Really, you have got to sit on the deck and soak up the peaceful waters, watch the deer and eagles (yes, eagles), and other wildlife. The interior is fully functional and laid out really well for relaxation. Really appreciated the NetFlix too for late evening chilling. Cannot go wrong staying here. Owners were great to work with and communicated really well. We'll be back!"

"Stayed for two nights in late June. Loved the river located directly on the property. Close to the city of Marquette, so it was in an ideal location for a nice day trip and for exploring Lake Superior. "

"We really enjoyed the little lake cabin. The lake itself is beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is an old and dated up north cabin, but that is exactly what we were expecting based on the listing. We used the canoe which was nice and the kids took a dip in the lake. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean. Definitely a fun UP getaway!"

"We were pleasantly surprised to find that the property is on a peninsula with water on both sides. The view is gorgeous. There was plenty of fishing to be done from either dock or the shore, but all small—need a boat to get a decent catch. Kitchen could have been better stocked (no can opener?) and missing cabinet handles, but the cabin was wonderful. Beautifully decorated with a lot of thought given to the comfort and convenience of the guests. Loved it!"

"I was skeptical about stay here, but this was honestly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The woman at the front desk was kind and friendly. The room was immaculate. We use the local airport about once a year and needed to stay close by for the early flight. We would definitely stay here again if we need to be nearby. There was a firepit burning outside when we arrived. It is cute! The hotel has a very patriotic theme."
