"We had great friendly service from the staff and the food and table service were great. However our room was not to a very good standard. The windowless en suite did not have a functioning extractor fan which resulted in a damp smelly room with damp towels which were only changed when I asked. We did not have kettle either until again I requested one. That took two attempts. The lighting was poor the main light on a dimmer switch flickered all the time. "We stayed in a family room (7) and chose it for the fact it has 2 separate sleeping areas divided by a curtain so plenty of space for everyone to get a good nights sleep. Each room has a tv. There’s an ensuite and also a separate WC. The decor in the main bedroom very pretty but the other room need a bit of paint to bring it up to the same and it also could have done with a fan. "We were going to a wedding nearby and needed an early check in to be able to get changed, having flown into LHR 2 hours earlier. The manager (Amanda I think her name was) had both our rooms ready for us which was amazing. Rooms were spacious, well furnished and immaculately clean. Breakfast was fab (I had eggs florentine). All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We'll be back :-)"

"A lovely romantic getaway! Very friendly staff, tastefully decorated rooms and great breakfast! Its remote but its a great position to explore the area. We werent very impressed with our dinner from the pub but we ordered late so maybe we were just unlucky. We stayed in 'Normandy' room which is a superior double - nice room but it only has a bath, no shower, which we didnt realise when we request a room with a bath. We would definitely stay again when in the area. "
