"Room was clean but could use some new grout. Parking was a little odd and the hotel is almost in a neighborhood, which meant there were dogs barking. Not all night, but enough. Nice big room, a sauna in the room but we couldn’t figure out how to work it (and didn’t try very hard). Pool was nice and we very much appreciated the balcony with sliding screen door that we could leave open. Generally a good stay and we would stay here again if in the area."

"This was a nice place. The staff was great as there were prompt responses to my inquiries. The property is a little dated but clean. We were not there long enough to enjoy the amenities. I would stay again."

"Everything was totally fine except there was like one outlet in the entire room and the mini fridge was inexplicably loud when it would turn on and back off. It woke me up several times and I thought something serious was happening, but then it was just the fridge :/"

"Great place and great location...walkable to much of Manchester. Only suggestion is to improve WiFi. I was in the Victoria house and I couldn't access the WiFi. But that is minor--overall very happy with The Palmer House."

"It was a beautiful property with friendly staff. The room was very pretty but the mattress was very soft and the pillows were tiny. We loved the fireplace as well but when you lay down you can't see the fire and it was uncomfortable to sit at the end of the bed. A cozy area should be in front of the fire place. However I would still stay there again."

"The lodge was amazingly convenient on the main highway. Gorgeous views. Friendly staff. Robin was working and he was very professional and friendly. Only reason I would not give it five stars is that the room itself was very basic and simple. Very outdated. Reminded me of a Ramada Inn. So $350/night (off season) and the room wasn’t very nice. Also the highway in front of the lodge is very loud with nonstop loud pickup trucks and cars. I understand this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but just something to be aware of. However, a very positive experience."
