The only complication is that you cannot drive to the hotel as it is in the historic center - however follow the instructions you get in their email upon reservation - just for the drop off and pickup of luggage the very helpful hotel staff makes that possible! "We stayed in “The Belvedere” 74 steps up and above the top floor. The view and the space are worth the climb. The room is simple, tasteful , and spacious. The spiral stair between the main room is a bit challenging at night but the feeling of the exposed wood and stone give a nice “Old World” feeling."

"To get to the property we had to phone the hotel so they could raise the impediment in the middle of the road to get in. Once in, we were guided to the property by the front desk thru a series of very narrow roads - which i did not like."

"A lovely hotel in a cosy nook. 14th century walls blend in with modern decor. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served the best soup ever. Highly recommended, as long as you don't mind the absence of a lift. "

"Property was great, location great however I due to difficult communications I didn’t appreciate being loudly ‘ summoned’ by an irate hotel manager and shouted at by her for taking up an extra foot in the garage especially as I (thought) I had been told this was ok….I felt very uncomfortable over what was an innocent and minor mistake. The other guest an Australian chap (nice guy) needed the space also said he felt awkward about how she dealt with it. Otherwise a wonderful place "

"Lovely, small family run hotel. Very nice breakfast, with good options, eggs, cheese & meats, yoghurt, cereals, breads and fruit. Not enough plugs in the room, but not an issue. I just unplugged a lamp when I wanted to use the hot water kettle."
