Hotels near Arkel Station

"By far the oldest and most unkept hotel I had to stay in during my time in NL. Only hotel I refused to shower in as it was just well, “neglected”. Very old and unkept. Seemed nobody has used that room in ages. Bathroom was filthy, shower had black marks all around the edges. Tiles had water/ soap marks all over it. Just an unkept and dirty room that’s all. Only place I refused to shower. "

"We had booked a suite with Jacuzzi for my birthday. The place is special, very unusual and our room was huge! But jacuzzi was unusable, empty and with no instructions. When we mentioned it at reception, we got no help or much of an apology. It wasnt worth the extra spend foe this room and left a bitter taste to an otherwise nice experience. Breakfast was nice, and we were happy to be able to have dinner in the restaurant after a fairly long drive. Unfortunately , property not contactable on hotels dot com to discuss the issue."

"The room and en-suite bathroom were very clean and spacious. Shower was excellent and water very hot. We enjoyed the proximity to shops and bars in the town. Parking at the station car park is free and 2 minutes walk from the hotel (there is no parking at the hotel itself) We had dinner at the restaurant, which is beautifully decorated. Food is 'Asian fusion'. We chose the set price option (44€) where you order anything you want from a tablet on your table - an interesting and fun concept! Allow plenty of time for this as you must leave 15 minutes between each course. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented. "
