Chicaugon Lake Inn

"Very charming well-cared for hotel with lake view scenery. The rooms were spotless. The hotel has VCR's in each room with a library of fun VHS tape movies to bring to your room and watch, should you desire a little TV time. There are nearby walking paths and the hotel is about a 15 minute drive to Alpha or Iron River. Both Alpha and Iron River have one of a kind pubs and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. They do serve a continental breakfast at 7 am. We were up much earlier than that and out the door, so we didn't experience the breakfast. They do have vending machines and ice. The rooms do "not" have coffee pots and coffee is not served until 7 am, so if you want coffee prior to that, then you have to bring your own travel pot or there is a coffee shop in Iron River/Gas stations as well that serve coffee. Our stay was perfect. The staff was wonderful. We support local small business. This place checks all the boxes."

"Everything was wonderful for our 2 night stay. Jeanette (our host) is such a warm and genuine person, I could talk with her for hours. The personalized note and fresh homemade cookies were a nice touch.The log cabin was very clean, the floor plan is nice and all the amenities. The walk to the lake is easy, nice fire pit with plenty of fire wood.I didn’t do a lot of fishing but did catch a 24” northern off the dock. They have a nice playground for the kids and sandy beach.Highly recommend this place."

"The property was a beautiful location. The cabin was rustic, but very clean and well maintained. The only issue we had and it wasn't the fault of the property owner. It must be duck hunting season. There was a lot of gun fire at around 6:30am on Sunday morning. Let's just say me dog was not appreciative. :) But would definitely recommend the place to anyone."

"House was beautiful and the upstairs room was very spacious and comfortable. Host was friendly and helpful. We were only there for an overnight get away. We loved our stay and had a quiet, relaxing time. Thanks for everything!"
