Situated off the main square and featuring period decoration this is (in my opinion) one of the best options.i found the staff friendly, the rooms comfortable and the facilities perfect for our work trip. Okay so the pool is a walk across the (small) car park, but otherwise an excellent and relaxing way to enjoy Salta. Go visit! "

"This place is a diamond in the rough. A lovely quiet reprieve from the business and dusty streets. We loved Tilcara for its history, food, authentic nature. It was so nice to be able to walk to the nearby square to eat and explore and feel safe. Large rooms, comfy beds, great staff, lovely breakfasts. Would highly recommend. The many stairs only added to the charm and the view. "

We waited over half an hour to pay our bill. And then, although we were obviously foreigners, the lady tried to charge us the Argentinian hotel tax that is charged only for locals.
