Callum the owner made a lovely breakfast & ofdered more if we wished but wasnt needed very filling great atmosphere with retro record player playing in background. "My son and I spent one night here on May 2, 2025. It was an exhausting day because we were lied to and ripped off by Europcar. We couldn’t get any roadside assistance even though we paid extra for it Upon arrival at the Luib, we were met with understanding and caring. They have a small staff and a tough job. The owners are very successful people and have owned a number of businesses in Europe and now live in their hometown. I bonded with them and staff immediately. Some reviewers are upset that they were denied bathroom amenities. Sadly, I can see how some entitled people treat the Luib like it’s a public rest stop with free public amenities. That happens to them constantly. The Luib has so much character inside that you really do need to stop here. If not staying the night, go there in the evening for drinks, conversation and atmosphere. I was shown genuine kindness by the owners and hope to see them again next year. We were very satisfied with our stay and the ambience was priceless. Highly recommend."
