"There was a mix up with the booking as we were down as dog owners!! Then we had no towels in the room which we had to chase down so we could shower before the meal we had booked. When we got to the restaurant there was more confusion about the booking. However, the restaurant staff were great and even after an issue with our meal order it was quickly resolved. The food was excellent."

"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. "The Corran was a very spacious , clean. And well appointed accommodation. To get to dinner we used the local ferry which was only a 2 min walk away and free for seniors. The ferry runs about every 10 mins and is very convenient. Breakfast food was available in the fridge and was good. We had a bit of a challenge with the obtaining the key from the lockbox beside the door but once we figured outvhoe it opened it was fine."

"While the beds and linens were crisp and clean, the carpet badly needs replaced. It was visibly dirty and dusty. There are no air-conditioning units in the rooms and while we were brought a fan that kind of just kicked up the dust from the carpet and gave me a mess of a headache and allergies.
