"We spent 3 nights in an ocean view suite with a hot tub. The view was amazing! The room was fully equipped with a kitchen and utensils. Entrance was by key pad so we didn’t need to check in at the front desk. The room, view and hot tub were absolutely beautiful and we very much enjoyed our stay there.
However, as another reviewer had pointed out, it seemed like we were in a VRBO property as no staff member stopped by to see if we needed anything, like more coffee, tea or towels, and there was no housekeeping. For a $400 per night room, we shouldn’t even have to ask for this! Even a quick text to welcome us would have been appreciated.
However, we were shocked that instead of a welcoming text, the first text we received was to tell us there was a strict quiet time at 10:30 pm and that if we did not adhere to this there would be levies. In all our years of travel, we’d never received such a terse text at check in!
Also, there were strict reminders to shower before hot tub usage and that fines would also apply if this was not done.
Regardless of the beauty of the property, we did find these reminders a bit unwelcoming and unnecessary.
In addition, there was no information on who to call for supplies, menus for the restaurants on site, firewood for our fire pit, things to do while there or anything else. This would have been very useful."
"The home was clean and charming and equipped with everything you could need. Very private in a quiet, green setting. Owner Lisa was very responsive through messaging and shared the fascinating history of the house. Easy to walk to the harbour. Enjoyable NL experience!"

"A beautiful spot, close to all attractions but not next to them. The home was well equipped and the view was enchanting, I couldn't get enough of it. The host reply back quickly if I had any questions. Threat yourself and book now."

3-bedroom cabin on Horsechops Pond, Cape Broyle with Hot tub, AC, WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed here for 3 nights. Home had everything we needed. Bed was very comfy. Home was a good location for hiking on the east coast trail. Rebecca suggested the part of the trail with the suspension bridge which was definitely worth doing. Saw seals and a guillemot there. It was quite cold while we were there, end of May, so the hot tub was a welcome treat.Would stay here again"
"Great space. Love the kitchen. Everyone in the family drawn to main en suite shower. Host quick to reply. Favourite place we stayed on our trip. Only issue was VRBO map directions glitched and sent us somewhere else (FYI, you do not want to turn by the Home Hardware)."
"Myself and my husband booked Pondside Haven for our anniversary getaway. Check in was a breeze with detailed information. This gorgeous little cabin is perfectly located next to the pond where you are greeted with adorable bunnies! Not only was the cabin cute, and cozy but it was in immaculate condition with not a dust bunny in sight. Super clean which made us feel very comfortable and able to relax. The cabin had everything we needed and was placed exactly where the host said the items would be. The hosts, Brittany and Cory were just a pleasure to communicate with, so very kind and sweet! We are already planning our next visit there. You will not be disappointed! "
"Lovely location, right on the East Coast Trail. Easy to find. Sauna was wonderful. Room was great - cooking facilities were nice to reduce eating out costs.
Could hear people in adjacent rooms (just everyday noises, they were not being particularly noisy/partying)."
"Great view, quiet location. Off the beaten path, but a lovely place to stay. Limited dining options close by, but more within 20-30 minutes. Was a great spot to explore the Irish loop from. "
