Weather was gorgeous, which made the pool very welcome. Very peacefull spot, the local town. Had a supermarket, bar gelateria and pizzeria, Lucca was 5 miles away, and Pisa about 20.....both well worth a visit. Overall a relaxing, stress free break. "

"This villa is in a great location, with easy access by train or car to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The villa had everything we needed to have a wonderful holiday which we did. It is one of the few Villas we have stayed that we would like to come back to. The directions we're very good making it easy to find. Would definitely recommend this villa to family and friends."

"The views from Paladini are beautiful beyond what the pictures show, but the people are even better. We spent nights sitting on benches at the fire, but on days we felt less social were given perfect privacy in the cottage. Colm was the ideal host.Our large dog was not only permitted, but warmly greeted and welcomed. The cottage not only had everything needed for cooking, but also books and a few games. Firewood was provided, and the wood stove easily and quickly warms the cottage (including...

"We had a wonderful stay in La Zinobita. Giuseppe and Cinzia were welcoming, kind and helpful hosts. The house was clean, comfortable and well kept with Giuseppe cleaning the pool early every morning. There were several terraces to enjoy the sun or shade. The pool was lovely with super views. The property is very well situated within easy reach of the centre and no problems parking outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year."

"This tiny holiday house is a perfect place for 2 people to discover Lucca and the beautiful area around Lucca. The appartment with small pool is located on a vineyard and has a nice terras with a beautiful view on the surrounding hills. The house itself is small but okay for 2 people and contains all necessary equipment, even a washing machine. If a dishwasher was to be added the house would be complete. Enjoying the warm weather the last 2 weeks we can certainly recommend this holiday home."

"We had a lovely holiday (family with 5 kids, age 11 to 23), peaceful and quiet and with the option to go out for a good meal nearby. Culture and swimming to be found with a car ride of 20 min, a beautiful mountain lake for swimming and nice little towns. Lucca and other more touristic places are a bit further, still good to do by car. The house and garden are spacious with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Nice addition is the separate part of the house which contains a bedroom, a bathroom...

"Casa ben accessoriata e pulita. Posizione ottima per poter raggiungere le spiagge di Lerici con navetta gratuita direttamente fuori casa. Noi eravamo in quattro persone e la casa era un po' piccola. Deludente lo spazio esterno trascurato che secondo noi avrebbe dato al contesto e alla casa maggior vivibilità. Host sempre pronto e recettivo per ogni piccolo problema. Anche se un po' delusi dallo spazio esterno la consiglierei."

"Nice little cottage with a comfortable bed. The host was very helpful. The air conditioning helped with the chilly evenings and mornings.It is easy to reach if you come by train but it is up a steep hill. All the villages of Cinque Terre are easily accessed and I thought it was the best of the 5 villages to stay in- at the start of via dell’amore. "

Hotel Bologna

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel Bologna is the ideal base for exploring Pisa and the wider Tuscany region. Only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport and an easy, short walk to the railway station, Hotel Bologna is ideally situated. The must-see leaning Tower of Pisa is no more than 15 minutes walk and there are many other attractions along the nearby riverfront and beyond. It is very close to the Corso Italia where there are some great shops and places to eat. We loved the Museo delle Navi or Museum of Ancient Ships and found this thanks to a really helpful taxi driver who recommended it as a must-see. It is a fascinating history of Pisa's role as an ancient maritime city with hulls of Roman galleys and archaeological finds making this a captivating couple of hours. Travelling by train is easy and Florence is only an hour away for a small fare of 9 euros. The hotel is situated in a quiet street in the centre of Pisa. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and reception staff so friendly and helpful. The biggest selling point is the breakfast buffet with a vast array of delicious pastries, cold meats, cheeses and hot food. I would go back in a heartbeat for the pistachio croissants! "
