Grew up nearby, Appleton keeps growing, downtown is still a great option for shopping and staying, being there on Black Friday was a bit crazy to drive around, but that's great for the economy.

Restaurants downtown mostly expensive. City Ramps have plenty of space and reasonable daily Rates. Artists and Farmers Market every weekend in summer.

This area has gone downhill in my opinion, having grown up in the area. We walked to the Perkins and it was a bit unsafe-feeling due to lots of traffic and no sidewalks.
