"Had a very comfortable two night stay at Applecross BnB. The directions made the place easy to find. The self check in was easy. The owners were friendly and full of information on local walks and attractions, including where to go to look for otters, birds, and red dear. Breakfast was good too, including several hot options, as well as cereal and yogurt. We also got to see the pine martins visit the front patio during breakfast. "The hotel had such charm and I am amazed with the three staff members we chatted with that was keeping up the whole place. This hotel cannot be compared to modern hotels these days; and I wouldn't want to. The Lock Maree has a bar and restaurant on site; which I would highly recommend having dinner and breakfast. The staff was so nice and helpful. We walked the grounds in the afternoon and had such a lovely, quiet, peaceful time at the hotel. Highly recommend and I can't say much more about this...

"Booking in was very easy. There was an envelope left inside the door with my name and room number on. The room was lovely - not huge but big enough for 2 with a lovely bathroom, nice thick towels and hand soap, body wash and shampoo and conditioner in the shower cubicle. The heated towel rail was a nice touch making the bathroom nice and cosy so you weren’t coming out of the shower to a cold room ( nothing worse) There were tea and coffee facilities too with a nice biscuit on the side! "The accommodation was outstanding. Susan was very welcoming and the rooms were comfy, roomy, and well designed. Breakfast was excellent. 4 rooms and 4 tables of two set up with all the extras. Fridges in the room. The location is a short walk to Portree. Free parking provided on site. This accommodation is perfect in every way!!!! Really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend staying here if you are going to the Isle of Skye."
