"We loved this hotel in the center of Compiegne, France, one hour north of Paris. The room was modernized and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The person at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. We loved this town. It is charming and walkable. Excellent restaurants, especially Bistro du Terroir, which was recommended by the hotel. Best restaurant ever!!! Don't miss the WW1 war memorial 6 km east of town. It is a very important monument and and interesting. "

"The dining room and the terrasse were quite lovely as well as the garden area. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room however was disappointing and in definite need of being updated except for the shower."

"Very friendly and helpful staff and a great restaurant attached. We had a very spacious room on the top floor which was well equipped. Slightly in need of a refresh of decor but that added to the charm for us. Really lovely village and castle. Good walks in the local forest also"
