"Good value for money and friendly host. I would give it 3.5 stars. The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."

"5/5 Great family trip and fits 4-5 total people easy. It’s a 3 story property, but only the top is live able. The inside is dated, but the outside more than made up for it…Everyone enjoyed jumping off the first story ledge into the water, the property is large and has amazing views all over. We enjoyed dining al fresco & the hot tub. It’s very peaceful & serene. It is a good distance from downtown Varenna or Lierna, so if you don’t have transportation it’s very tough. "Such a lovely Villa and a helpful property manager. If you're looking for a unique experience and a beautiful get away then this is your place! Amazing view of Bellagio just across the water on Lago Como. Downtown Varenna is just a short 10 minute drive from the Villa but it feels remote and with the Villa being right on the waterfront, the sounds of the water lapping on the rocks below can lull you to sleep at night. I would recommend this property to anyone who has a small to medium sized...

"Pros: The house is old, beautiful and very special. With a green garden which is well maintained with nice outside seating. The inside is unique and offers many spaces for people to spend time together. Cons: The kitchen is small and old for such a size of a house. It was sometimes a limiting factor when cooking for such a large house. In addition, there was no light in the kitchen or proper ventilation.
