"Nice location and a clean place to stay. But if you are planning on walking to the ancient city of Sigiriya it’s a 30 min walk from the hotel. Not a 1 min walk as advertised. The service was good but the food was at best average, specially dinner “À la carte”. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety which was good but the food was average. Good for a short stay."

Staff do not go out of the way to make your experience pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average. For the expensive pricing, you would expect a better spread, but no. Cleanliness of property is also below average when you compare with similar properties in the price range."

"This is the best hotel in Trincomalee. The staff are the loveliest, kindest staff, and they made our time there feel like home. The food is a choice of traditional Sri Lankan food as well as European/US, but they even made us egg hoppers on request.... Its that we're not on the menu. So I cannot praise them highly enough. "The main lodge and cabins were stylish, designed and well maintained. The jungle setting on a beach was enchanting. The beach was lovely but the swimming was rough given we were there in the off season. The Sri Lankan food was delicious and the staff were friendly and accomodating."

The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. "Actually with GOOGLE MAPS GPS , it was difficult to locate the place but lucky we asked someone who happened to work there and we followed him. Location nice..rooms very big high ceilings... Good lighting except for the bathroom which needs some lighting by the mirror for shaving. View magnificent and Saman the Manager was very friendly and liked my pictures I took there. Probably one of the nicest places I stayed in Sri Lanka. They are building a nice swimming pool ..will be for next time.....
