"It was an easy 5-7min walk to the Poma Lift at Nives from which you could access the entire mountain and <5 to the nearest grocery store. We took advantage of ski and ski locker rental at Ski Walter which made the logistics easy. The kitchen is well outfitted with pots/panels, dish-ware, utensils, but beware that there are no kitchen basics --- salt & pepper, oil, paper towels, etc -- or puzzels, games, so bring your own."

"We loved the apartment on the farm. Fresh eggs and milk every day. Peace and quiet. Lots of hiking opportunities around the property. The apartment was clean and the furniture was sufficient. "We were very pleased with the quality of this property, it worked well for two families holidaying together. Maria and Theo were welcoming hosts, answering our queries promptly with local knowledge and bringing an amazing apple strudel on our first night. We were able to access all the cable cars and lifts from our base at Cesa Paula and enjoyed eating at the local pizzeria and wandering around the evening market in St. Cristina. We would recommend this property!"

"We had a great experience at this VRBO. It was clean, large and comfortable. The location was ideal - about 50-100 meters from a grocery store and bus stop. Parking also worked out well - especially as we had a rather large 9 passenger van that was not super easy to maneuver in tight spots. The location for visiting other towns and hikes was also optimal. Finally, the owners were also super responsive - for example, when we had a question about how to use the oven they responded in about 15...

"This unit is in a super location. It was clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the street and tower. Be sure you download the user guide and follow it. For example, before you start the dishwasher you have to turn off the hot water heater in the bathroom and you have to bring your garbage to the basement - things like that. Great place overall - just a little dated."

"The view from our apartment was spectacular. The kitchen was adequately equipped. It would have been nice to have had a microwave oven. Martina was very responsive to our needs. The initial trip to the apartment was challenging but it didn’t take long for us to adjust to the drive. It is a short distance to downtown. We hope to visit Ortisei again."

"We had an excellent stay at the beginning of the ski season. This was a new area for us and we covered good distance each day. Views from apartment across the valley were wonderful. Only downside was the uphill walk from the town, or preferably the nearest ski bus stop."

"While the staff was great and very accommodating, don’t let them place you in a Mountain View room. As most places in Italy, they don’t have air conditioning.
