"We stayed at Dakota Newcastle while visiting the city for a show at The Glasshouse – a gift for my parents and a treat for us as well. This hotel easily ranks among the best we’ve experienced. Though relatively new, its stylish, modern design—with a moody yet welcoming atmosphere—exudes sophistication and comfort. We booked standard rooms (207 and 208), which were impeccably clean, comfortable, and furnished to a very high standard. Each room featured a large TV cleverly disguised as a mirror, offering a wide range of channels and streaming options. The bathrooms were equally impressive, complete with a luxurious rainfall shower and Molton Brown toiletries—a lovely touch. Even the addition of a night light in the bathroom was a great touch. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous selection of cereals, pastries, and cooked options to choose from. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, especially at check-in and during breakfast. The concierge, in particular, was a standout—and a real credit to the hotel. The professionalism and attention to detail from all staff were truly first-class and we will definitely visit again."
