"I’ve sent 2 separate tenants here to stay while I renovate their units. Both the tenants who stayed on separate occasions left early because of the roach problem. I called the front desk on both occasions and they basically told me to kick rocks. Never again!"

"We booked this hotel because my wife had an early lab at her college campus nearby, and since we live more than two hours away we wanted to stay close so she could arrive rested and on time. This was the closest hotel option. I’ve generally heard that Red Roof Inn is a dependable budget option, so we felt comfortable booking here. When we entered the room, we immediately noticed several maintenance and cleanliness issues that appeared to have been present prior to our arrival. The bathroom ceiling had visible mold growth, and there was also mold in the caulking around the tub area. The bathroom faucet handles were not installed correctly and did not fully shut the water off. In addition, the air conditioning unit was not properly sealed and had a noticeable opening that allowed outside air to flow directly into the room. These issues suggested the room had not been properly maintained prior to being rented. To be fair, the staff we interacted with were polite and courteous, and there was an armed security guard on the property which did help the location feel safer. However, the condition of the room itself fell below what we expected in terms of cleanliness and basic maintenance. "

"Owner complained that I called him at 7:00 in the morning No smoke detectors Unacceptable heat in unit-on the 3rd day owner ordered 2 small space heaters and they weren’t enough-inadequate heatingNo slip proof bath mat in tub-owner ordered on day 3No kitchen table/chairs-owner ordered table and benches and expected me to assemble them Floors were very dirty-couldn’t walk barefoot without getting black feetMattress in master bed was unacceptably uncomfortable Old prescription pills and layer of dust found under master bedPots and pans were greasy and with standing water-I personally scrubbed a pan to make it clean and cookableRusty razor blade left on top of out door grillTools and construction materials left in grass off of porchTrash strewn all over yardRemnants of oil change for a vehicle left in front yardReplacement sheets for master bed were not correct size"
