Angel Island, just a short ferry ride away from San Francisco, makes for some fantastic hiking. You get some great views of the bay, the city, and that beloved bridge. I'd recommend taking one of the morning ferries over to have plenty of time to explore. Take note of the ferry return times, so you can plan out when to head back. If you end up having to wait a bit for the return ferry, it's no problem! There's a cafe by the dock where you can grab a coffee or a snack while you wait. #TakeAHike

"I stayed here for a few days because my daughter was admitted to UC Berkeley, and she was invited to a few events being held at the school for admitted students. The location of this place is very convenient as it is a 14 min drive from UC Berkeley. However, you won’t be able to walk from this place to Berkeley because you have to take a minor highway to get to the university. "We enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was comfortable and with three of us, it was roomy and our granddaughter could have her privacy. The only drawback was the lack of a guard rail on the front steps. My husband and I are 76 so I would have felt more comfortable with a guard rail."
