  • Unwind at this unique 2 story multi-unit house. Enjoy over 1800 sq ft on your side. This unique converted garage on the main floor. All new recliner furniture this year. Still enjoy the mini game area darts, foodball, and arcade. Kitchen has granite counters and cupboards are stocked with necessary dry goods. And the kitchen has all the needed pots pans and gadgets to make an Alaskan meal. 2nd floor enjoys great street and sunrise view from the upstairs windows with 140 degree windows. Master bedroom including a California king bed with custom en-suite shower made from Alaskan slate from Hope, AK.. Custom cascade shower. Featured bench as well as shower chair if needed. All bathroom necessities provided. Master bedroom opens out to your private balcony with hot. ( Hot Tub- drained December 15 tMay 15 ). Master en-suite has now a new full size bed. Above is a comfy private loft and can accommodate more sleeping. 4 TV’s with all the entertainment all smart apps provided in every room for your convenience andperaonal wind down time. Also has as TV antenna for up to the minute local news and fishing and hunting reports. This unique hideprivate yard from alley access. The shared private parking yard is Large enough area can accommodate up to two more vehicles. Up to 25 ft motor home. You will find all the simple comforts of home. Full size washer and dryer, hairdryer, curling iron, laundry soap, iron, iron board, games cards, books for kids, small toy area. Of course a small dedicated workstation upstairs with desk. Charging station and desk lamp. WiFi. Utiize the comfy full/twin bunk bed downstairs when accommodating a larger group. There is a small toilet closet downstairs for convenience.
    The grill will be available as well. There is also a patio out the master bedroom. Semi sunset views from patio. Minutes to the inlet for full sunset.Minutes to museums, shopping, tourism spots, train depot, and military base.

House was a little hard to find. Really only had 2 bedrooms - the bunk beds were just behind a curtain. The bathrooms had no privacy which was not ideal for our group. It was very clean and the host was great at responding. It was just not what we expected.

The property is about 20+ minutes from Anchorage airport. The home is quaint in the sense that part of the lower floor is a garage conversion. A commode is stuck next to the kitchen in a hallway closet size room. One has to wash hands at the kitchen sink. The upstairs mid bedroom has the toilet and shower open to the room without a separation. Awkward at best. The master suite , bathroom and the upstairs sitting areas are appealing. The home can sleep 5 comfortably, 7 with kids.

This property was not at all what we expected. Part of it is in a garage, with a very sketchy bathroom next to the kitchen. The carpets in the garage were not very clean. They place had a smell to it, like cat pee. The rumba was set to go off at 3am which woke up my son sleeping downstairs. The property wasn’t clean by the 4pm check in. We arrived around 430 and they were just finishing up cleaning. The property was quiet, no issues with noise. Overall the owner was communicative and helpful.

Great place. Felt like home. Had everything you would need even the 3 year old granddaught was happy and did not want to leave. Thank you lisa and Micheal you guys out did your selfs

Good, clean place to stay for a reasonable rate.

This property is not flashy for curb appeal, but a nice surprise inside. The bedrooms are very nice upstairs. The main floor is a bit of a "man cave", but very functional.

Great place for families

Clean and inviting space. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. My kids loved the set up in the living room. Plus there are board games and toys for rainy days. Hot tub is such a bonus. My kids also loved that were was a near by park. They also think of things you might have forgotten like razors or wipes. Unrelated but make sure you check the address if you use location services for Uber eats. All around lovely place. Would book again.

Enjoyed Alaska

We enjoyed our stay in Alaska. This place was suitable and the bed’s are comfortable. The sofas very comfortable as well. The showers were nice too. The pictures were accurate. The neighbor was quiet and had a nice park just around the corner from this place. The only thing I must be honest is the instructions are bare minimum and there isn't any form to communicate other than this app. With the property manager. Also while we were sleeping we could hear airplanes and the train passing. Oh and there isn’t any A/C.

The host never shared that the house is two different rentals & neglected to tell us that our access was in the back. A random neighbor showed my family the back access in the alleyway, which dragging luggage across gravel did not appeal. Calls to the host were randomly answered, they never did respond to my initial message through VRBO. Once inside the smell was nasty, fishy with some other funk. The game room was a converted garage, which the the posting didn't show. Something that bothered us the most was the door separating the garage & the upstairs had a big sign, door must be locked after 10pm. We wondered why that is. The shell casing out at the curb was another big red flag. And lastly the final straw was how rude the host was when we voiced our concerns. The outside of the house is certainly not in the best condition. We elected to go elsewhere. To be fair the place inside appeared clean & furnishings didn't look sketchy. But the smell & the location was a deal breaker.

Perfect for our needs. We took day trips all around Anchorage and other parts of Alaska and it was easily within distance of everywhere we wanted to go. Great location, five to ten minutes away from everything in Anchorage including restaurants, Walmart, and Costco. Tons of space. The owners were awesome! They were very quick to answer any questions we had, and they helped us out in a number of ways, such as: providing bear spray for hikes and a fishing pole for the kids when we asked. The arcade games and foosball table were a big hit with the kids. We were able to cook a bunch of meals in the kitchen so we didn't have to go out to eat every meal. Having a grill to use was great too! After hiking and exploring Alaska each day, it was always wonderful to be able to relax at night in the hot tub. Everything in the house was very nice and you can tell a lot of thought was put into how it is arranged and maintained. There are a ton of little touches provided that make traveling much easier, eg. coffee pods, laundry machines and soap, shampoo and body wash, and more. We had a family of seven and were very comfortable. We highly recommend this property.

was fun

this is a really fun place for kids that want to have a fun place to stay. we didn't use the loft because it was very dangerous looking. There are no windows in the downstairs area but the upstairs is really nice with lots of windows. it was fun having a hot tub but the temperature wasn't that high. but we enjoyed the outdoor seating near the hot tub anyway. Does not sleep as many as it says we were lucky we brought a cot with us. Don't get this place if your family likes privacy or their own space. the bathrooms are all inside of other rooms. 2 bathrooms are in bedrooms and one is in the living room/rec room area. I was happy with a full size stove and good cookware supplied. the fridge is a full size and a freezer in it all worked great. they provide a smoking area outside with seating.

Spacious gem with a few quirks

Our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. The property was clean, there’s lots to do in the recreation room downtime here was fun with the darts and games and streaming services. Lots of local flavor, parks, and coastal access nearby. Beds comfy, huge rock wall shower, lots of extra details to make the stay cozy. We struggled at check in since we didn’t understand the unit was divided into three units and it took some time figuring out where to park and which unit entry point to use. We were disappointed to not be told beforehand that the hot tub had unusual limitations. The hosts instructed us to not remove the cover except for half way which prevented us from enjoying the full dimensions and made a large hot tub only accommodate 2 people at a time. The cover being inches away from us made it difficult to enjoy the experience. The property includes a converted garage that has eccentric lighting. To illuminate the downstairs bathroom, one must use a light switch that also turns on a lot of lights in a sleeping area. We couldn’t find a way to use the ceiling fan without an entire bank of lights coming on which make it hard to stay cool on 75 degree days since there are zero windows in the downstairs area. So you can choose to have a darkened room or air circulation but not both at the same time. Something important to point out that we weren’t informed of — none of the three bathrooms have a door. Yes it got awkward. Quirky cool place overall.
