We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pension Homeland. Unique setting and a good location for getting around. There was a one day public transportation strike during our stay and thankfully the hotel offers 24 hour e-bike rentals for their guests. We were able to bike to our tour locations which added to our Amsterdam experience! Staff and restaurant are excellent too! A 2 person elevator is available if required- slow but very much appreciated.

Lovely eclectic property, out of the ordinary quaint with a local flavor. Wonderful onsite restaurant. Incredibly welcoming, helpful staff; so friendly! My only reservations would be very, very small rooms and for those with physical challenges, as the elevator is profoundly slow and small. Otherwise numerous flights of stairs involved, which we used daily. Apart from these, we recommend without hesitation.

Loved our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Loved the naval atmosphere of the location and adjacent city park. We visited during unusually hot weather and although the room didn't have air conditioning, it was still comfortable with the windows open and the provided fan running. We would definately stay again.

Our stay here was lovely. The staff were all incredibly helpful and nice. The restaurant was out of this world, and our room was incredibly cozy. This is such a great spot to stay, away from all the hustle and bustle of the city center, but it’s easy to get anywhere in the city. I would highly recommend staying here.

Though they lacked air conditioning and a few amenities, the hotel was a fun place to stay. It was creatively decorated and had a generally funky/friendly attitude. The dinner menu was sparse, but what they offered was delicious, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Staff was absolutely amazing. Bar and restaurant was great. Please be mindful that the building is historic and does not have AC. It was quite brutal during a heat wave. However a small desk fan was provided, staff and location made up for the heat. Would definitely stay at this property at a different time of the year again.

It’s a very nice place convenient ; close to the canal; beautiful sunset. Close to NEMO and museums . Small rooms; NO AC ; breakfast is a la cart but convenient to what you need . No parking so don’t bring a car . 30 minutes from airport ; uber charged 35 euros (may 30 rates)
