The Design Apartment is a contemporary two bedroom Amsterdam apartment that can accommodate four guests located in the city’s west.

his charming apartment is located in a traditional Amsterdam building typical of the area. The apartment has contemporary features yet has managed to maintain the authenticity of the space. The living room features high ceilings with exposed beams and wooden floors compliment the comfortable furnishings that include a sofa bed, additional seating, a dining table with seating for all guests and a flatscreen television. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare meals on those evenings in. The apartment features two bedrooms both of which are furnished with double beds and feature black walls with white exposed beams, creating a unique and stunning space. The bathroom features a shower and toilet and the there is also a second separately located toilet.

This stylish apartment is located in the West of Amsterdam close to the Jordaan district and is ideal for a family or group after traditional accommodation in a great location.

Had a lovely 3 night stay with friends, the place is as advertised, clean & in a quiet neighbourhood. The location is perfect if you want to be out of the busy areas. Martijn’s communication was great & nothing was too much trouble!

The location was in a nice neighborhood, by a canal & within walking distance to several sites, like the Anne Frank House. Apartment was clean & bedding was comfortable. There’s lots of stairs, as noted, & they are extremely steep, spiraling & narrow making it difficult with luggage to get to third floor. The owner did help with luggage.

I highly recommend this location for a short visit in Amsterdam. The apartment was very clean and is walkable to local restaurants and bars, Amsterdam Centraal (about 35 min walk) the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums, and more. Martijn was very friendly and available if we.needed him during our stay.

This is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam. Walkable to all the major sites, with convenient nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Just note, this is an attic apartment with very steep steps and there is no stovetop.

Loved staying here. Great location - quiet neighbourhood overlooking a canal. All the amenities you could need are here and it’s a great light-filled and airy space. Martijn also let us leave our bags there in the morning before check in, which was awesome after a long flight.

Exactly what we needed. Clean, comfortable, good beds. Location made for a nice walk (or short tram ride) to everything we wanted to see. Martijn was a great host. We especially appreciated him allowing an early drop-off of bags and then taking our VERY heavy bags up the stairs for us before we returned. Would definitely stay there again.

Martijn was very communicative and helpful. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for a week stay. Easy to walk to many places and right next to the canals, stocked with plenty of coffee and tea, plus a washer for laundry. The stairs gave it extra charm.

The apartment is nice though away from the hustle and bustle, host is very friendly. Two bathrooms was a plus! We loved the narrow twisting staircase (not all would, we joked that our parents would not be able to get up and down the stairs) overall a nice and quiet spot

We had a great time at Martijn‘s apartment. It is spacious and was completely sufficient for our needs. The location is very central, basically everything (especially the city center) is in walking distance. Martijn is super friendly and always replied shortly. I would definitely book again. Property was lovely. Had everything you need for A short stay, comfy beds and plenty of room. Some thoughtful touches like having a library and keeping the guide books others have left was really helpful. Location was good for us. Not right in the centre but public transport is so good it was easy to get around. Apartment is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to steep stairs and no lift but we managed fine and we’re not exactly gazelles.

Very nice, clean little apartment. The host was very helpful in bringing our heavy luggage up and down the stairs. There are 4 flights of narrow, steep, curving stairs, not for the elderly. You have a great view of the adjacent canal. We would stay again.
