It’s more like a budget hotel.

Cleanliness not to standard. Wi- Fi connection was very disappointing. Washroom and towels provided was smelly. Very disappointing.

Nice staff but horrible rooms

I recently booked a hotel night at Comfort Inn, Amritsar India through Orbitz. I stayed in comfort inn and other choice properties in US earlier and stay was pretty good. But this experience was very bad. Room was in such a pathetic situation that I gave all hopes of getting things fixed. But one thing was really needed to be fixed, and it was toilet seat. Even after requesting 4-5 times they never fixed it. Me and my wife had to go in lobby's restroom. Imagine a person going to lobby restroom in middle of the night. The other thing was that bed was making weird noises and it seemed that it's going to break. I had to sleep on the floor whole night.

A decent hotel but requires house keeping attentio

melling. We have checked-in and had a two days stay. It is a decent hotel but house keeing is a big issue. The rooms are good but bed linen and not changed. The staff are cooperative. The rooms are noisy at night. A little care will make the hotel a comfortable place to stay.

It was a very pleasant stay. Staff was courteous. location of hotel is good. 15 mins drive from jalian wala bagh and golden temple. Complimentary breakfast was great with lot of variety for both indian and continental options.

Quite location

Hotel is away from city therefor very quite. Many restaurants in two minutes walking distance with lots of coffee shops. Food in hotel was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel do have courtesy car to Golden Temple leaving hotel at 5 am returning at 7 am OR leaving at 7 pm returning at 9 pm

Siamo arrivati in questo hotel con un caldo incredibile e ci è sembrato di entrare in un'oasi di pace e freschezza ;inoltre l'hotel ci ha organizzato una navetta per andare a vedere il tempio d'oro alle cinque di mattina il che si è rivelata una proposta molto sensata visto il caldo insopportabile del resto della giornata. Il personale e anche la dirigenza sono stati stremamente disponibili ad aiutarci.

Problems with check in made a bad first impression

We booked this room through hotels.com about half an hour before arriving (du to bad experience in other hotel) Unfortunately there was a problem with a voucher the hotel should have gotten form hotels.com and there was a little dispute where the staff was rude and we felt very disappointed. There was also some problems later due to a flight booking the staff made for us wich they later cancelled and it was a hassle getting the money back. Cleanliness and restaurant: high quality. Just be sure to make everything very clear so there are no misunderstandings concerning booking or other purchases.

Clean, comfortable and nicely appointed.

I was looking for a hotel that was reasonable, comfortable, and close to The Golden Temple. Having used Comfort Hotels in the US during trips there, I decided to try this one as the price and location was good, although limited experience with some internationally branded hotels in India showed that quality levels don't always match international standards. However, this one was well appointed with interior room decor, and appointments exceeding that of Comfort hotels I have used in N. America. Staff was polite as I have found in many Indian hotels, and very helpful with any requirements and requests. I was quite happy with the stay and would use this hotel again if I visit Amritsar again.
