A gentle stroll brings you to Grasmere, a traditional village with many romantic and poetic connections and still as inspiring today as it was for Wordsworth himself. Local attractions include the Wordsworth Museum, a very accessible walk around the Lake, a well-stocked garden centre and of course, the famous Grasmere Gingerbread - who could resist?

Built in the late 1800s, Roundhill Cottages 1 is a traditional slate cottage suitable for the smaller family. Cosy evenings can be spent in front of the open fire whilst a leisurely dinner can be enjoyed whilst taking in super views over the surrounding fell range. In fact, views can be had from most of the rooms but one of the best vantage points must be from the roll top bath, yes from the bath! Pub, shops and restaurant all 0.5 mile
