"The view was so breathtakingly beautiful. It was pretty far up from city center so you had to walk or take a taxi. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was extra but delicious. No parking so you have to pay a parking lot just down the street from the hotel. No beach access from the hotel I could find."

"The staff at villa orleans were absolutely amazing, the property has views that don’t even look real. They make you eggs as you want in the morning. The owner Geraldo was so helpful with buses (you can buy tickets from them), recommendations and making us feel comfortable. We asked for more pillows and they promptly gave them to us. The room has ac which was great too. Highly recommend! Everyone was so kind!!!! But be prepared for some stairs - in Amalfi coast in general haha"

While it is located at the top of Amalfi, I personally liked this because you can usually get a seat on the bus since it is the final stop. It’s quiet, cozy, and relaxing! "It’s almost impossible to pass on the full experience of this place. WAY above the hustle of Amalfi is a tiny paradise where the tourists almost never go. Go. As others have said, Gino is incomparable. Even without such friendly service and luggage lugging etc, our stay was well worth it. The service just made the experience wonderful. Amalfi is super touristy but we knew that. We wouldn’t change what we did for the world, though. We rented a scooter and drove all over the place one day....

"The Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi is situated higher up in Amalfi with stunning views. The hotel staff are very helpful and the free hotel shuttle to and from Amalfi city centre is a plus. The hotel room charge includes breakfast that is quite good. The pool is nice and clean. We were guests mid-May so did not get to go to their private beach. I highly recommend this hotel!"

The proximity to the main plaza was perfect for walking. The bathroom shower design was too small for us and the double mattress were uncomfortable.
