"Step back in time in this little village near the coast. Each little apartment has a living space, bathroom and a well equipped kitchen which includes microwave oven, stove and Smeg espresso machine on the main floor with winding steps up to a loft with a comfortable bed. The restaurant has a great chef with lots of homemade Portuguese dishes. We highly recommend this place.

"We had an amazing stay at Barbara's villa. The villa was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Small issues were dealt with promptly and efficiently by the local villa manager. The villa is large, with five excellently sized bedrooms and ample outdoor space. The villa sits is a sheltered position which is beneficial as the area can be windy. Bed linen and towels were replaced during our stay which was an additional benefit. All in all a great villa!"
"This resort is a beautiful hidden gem in Salema. Everything was perfect. The people are so friendly. Our room was cleaned everyday and we were shuttled everywhere with a quick call to the main reception, free of charge. It was quite the service. The ocean was beautiful. "We love the resort and have returned many times, including to the Quinta da Ecosta Velha part of the resort. The villa manager and owner were friendly, helpful and efficient. Everything went really smoothly checking in and out. The villa is lovely and bright with lovely decor and a home from home feeling. Aircon is also good for stiller days but there's a gentle breeze most of the time. Indoor and outdoor areas to eat and lounge and lots of space. Less than a minutes walk to the shared pool. Would highly recommend."

"We absolutely loved the house, location and the host was very good at communication. We recommend this home if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The foosball table provided a night of competitive family fun! We recommend walking through the town although it is quite hilly. We recommend the Carrapateira Museum, exploring the quiet village and the hike to Praia de Bordeira about 20 mins. The Microbar in town had great food and service. Pizza Pazza was a short drive and worth it. "

"After nearly 30 years of experience renting various properties in the area we can safely say that this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The house is truly a "home from home in the sun" It is very clean, comfortable and well furnished. everything about it makes you wish you could stay there longer. Added to which the views are spectacular. We would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends, and indeed we are thinking of returning to it sometime next year."
