Rooms are basic, a bit dated and located separately from the main building - now a conference centre - and are a complete contrast to the lovely 17th century features of the manor. Room was also quite hot as there is no air conditioning. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Check in was very quick. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the grounds. It was perfect for a one night stay to avoid the hassle and expense of parking in nearby Winchester, where we were heading the next day. Would stay again. "
