"All communication was in Portuguese and through Expedia which delayed our ability to communicate effectively. That impacted our understanding of their policy to check in at 3pm or inform them before that time resulted in not knowing we lost our room with no refund when we arrived at 11:30pm right from airport. We called the company and language barrier was an issue, make sure to be prepared."

The only concern were the towels and beddings that could have been a little bit more cleaner (owner said it was hard to get rid of extremely stubborn types of make up that previous guests left behind on the sheets and towels, which in my opinion: 1. Very inconsiderate of these guests 2. Owner should think about replacing them.) Staff in the building are not as friendly and welcoming as they used to be, compared to my very fist and second stay...

"Lived in this hotel for 2 months a decade ago. Staff is good, food is reasonable, but the facility needs remodeling. Air conditioning was not working, WiFi never worked in the room, one elevator broke down, and furniture (including beds) needs renewal. "
