"This was an inspired booking through Hotels.com. We had an excellent room (Lapwing), which gave us a lot of space. The weather was fantastic (snow on the beaches, zero temperatures and clear skies - excellent for walking)."

"Alnwick Lodge is ideally located for discovering the Northumberland coast & the surrounding area. It is on the A1 between Morpeth & the Scottish Border. The owners are fantastic... very welcoming and happy to chat about the area and it's history. I stayed in the "Mouse House" a single room near the sitting room & restaurant. It was tiny, but super comfy!! Tiny bath(for a Borrower) but very comfy bed, tea making facilities, a flat screen tv & a surprising amount of storage. Not suitable for...

"Staff were friendly and helpful from the start . Our room was small but cozy and well prepared . View of the town from the room was great . Only negative was the bathroom with a broken toilet seat and dirty shower . The latter was mould and limescale covered to the point that we were reluctant to use it . Shame as this cleanliness issue was the only negative aspect of our stay . Being able to go downstairs to the pub for great food after a long day , was brilliant ."
