Gunta was amazing. So friendly and helpful. It's a really beautiful part of the world and this lodge is a really welcoming and friendly place. We were up there for a wedding so didn't get to explore but for my next trip in the Highlands, I'll be staying here!

Stayed for just one night at Gunta’s during a road trip recently. We had a great time! The area is just beautiful, house is clean and well looked after, bed comfortable and is also very quiet. Gunta is a great host! She is very welcoming, helpful and breakfast was very nice too, perfect. We will be recommending to family!! Thanks Gunta.

After a very long, wet motorcycle ride, Beechwood Lodge was heaven. Gunta, the host, was very welcoming and friendly for instance we had a room with a shower but Gunta kindly let me use the bath which was much needed and very relaxing. Loved the pinboard map in reception showing where guests came from - interesting touch and a great talking point. The beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect - quiet and amazing views. Breakfast was top quality and we especially liked the haggis. Gunta also suggested an alternative onward route with some amazing views which we hadn't used before, and via a fabulous tea room with very tasty cakes and hot chocolate! When travelling in the area again, we will definitely book with Gunta ahain as it was an incredible stay.

A little gem.

We found Beechwood at the last minute and what a little gem. A stunning location, very quiet and picturesque but close to the nearby town which has very good facilities. Gunta was in touch with us shortly after our booking and stayed in touch throughout, making sure she greeted us as soon as she was home. The house itself is scrupulously clean and fresh, beautifully decorated and supplied with everything you could need. We arrived late on a Sunday and could only get takeaway food in the local town which we brought back to eat. Gunta made sure we had everything we needed to eat comfortably -we sat outside on the lovely balcony and enjoyed the attractive garden- and then dealt with our rubbish! Possibly because I booked on my phone and therefore didn't see the detail but I was not immediately aware that breakfast is charged separately. This is very reasonable at £10 and was beautiful and plentiful with some lovely mixed berries and yoghurt for everyone and a choice of cooked breakfast. All in all, I would highly recommend Beechwood as a relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

A very comfortable stay!

Gunta & the others at Beechwood lodge are so welcoming! They went out of their way to make sure we were informed, accommodated, and enjoying our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the window and breakfast was delicious and very filling. Was a very nice stay and we'd be more than happy to stay again if we're in the area!

Wonderful stay! Room is clean and cosy. Beds very comfortable. The host is very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the cherry on the top of the cake! plenty of variety and it is tasty. We highly recommend this bnb and we will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Alness.

Beechwood Lodge A+

Was a lovely wee home from home. Gunta and her daughter made me feel so welcome. The bedroom was so comfy and the shared bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was amazing and I didn’t need to eat agin until late in the evening. I will definitely be back again x
